"PRINCESS OF NEW YORK"

Chosen for Tribeca Film Festival's

15-Second Film Competition

Helena Tripician's Debut Film

April 2006

-----------------------------------------------------------

Helena Tripician, the 4 year old performer and chocolate-lover, makes her screen debut at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival in "Princess of New York", a comic tale of love and independence.  (view film here at the American Express site, or here from this site)

Helena, who's father Joe directed and shot the epic, co-wrote key scenes, including the notorious "I Don't Need a Bath", and the shocking "I Have a Secret" set-pieces.

Success comes at an early age for the young thesp, who cut her teeth on home productions of "Elmo" and "Dora the Explorer."  The multi-hypenate now has set her aim on an extended series based on "Princess of NY", slated for exposure on cell-phones and the Web.  "I Want Candy" is another Tripician project slated for production in '06.

"I want to make another movie," said Helena in a phone interview from Brazil, where she is vacationing with her grandparents.  "But I have to play in the sand now."  With that, our international call was cut short.

Helena comes from a show biz family.  Her cousin, Nalu Tripician, made his screen debut as Nic Cage's son in "Lord of War."

Her uncle, Bill Tripician, is casting associate at Kee Casting, where he has worked on numerous Woody Allen pics.

And, of course, Helena's father is a veteran filmmaker who is not slowing down (unless you count the times he's chasing her in the park.)

Helena's new sister, Olivia, though only 4 months, has started showing signs of the Tripician show biz gene: gurgling and spitting on cue.

Asked about the family's next big-screen foray, matriarch Cecilia Tripician commented, "Don't ask me.  I'm happy when they remember to pick up their clothes."
