When The Jim Carroll Band's album "I Write Your Name" was released in 1982, Lenny Kaye suggested I produce Jim's music video.  Up to that point Jim had refused to do any video promos for his record label, but soon changed his mind after viewing the video work that I and my partner Merrill Aldighieri created.

From the Sony Music Video series "Danspak", here is Jim's only music video promo, Sweet Jane, featuring Lou Reed, produced in 1984. The baby in the video is Lenny's.
